Position Title: Student Ambassador, Institutional Research and Assessment (IRA)

Classification: Undergraduate Student Worker (Part-Time)
Position Summary
The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (IRA) seeks an enthusiastic and highly motivated undergraduate student to serve as a Student Ambassador. The Student Ambassador will help increase student participation in university surveys, course evaluations, and other assessment activities by promoting the value of student feedback and encouraging engagement across campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote student participation in course evaluations, surveys, and assessment initiatives.
- Conduct peer-to-peer outreach through student organizations, residence halls, campus events, and social media.
- Assist in developing and distributing promotional materials and communications.
- Serve as a liaison between IRA and the student body, providing feedback on effective student engagement strategies.
- Help coordinate awareness campaigns and information tables during key survey periods.
- Track outreach activities and provide brief reports on engagement efforts.
Qualifications
- Current Howard University undergraduate student in good academic standing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable engaging with diverse student groups.
- Experience with student organizations, campus leadership, or peer mentoring preferred.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and student communication channels.

Compensation
Part-time student employment funded for the academic year, with a total allocation of up to $6,000.
