We ensure the University meets federal, state, accreditation, and other external reporting requirements through accurate, timely, and reliable institutional data. We coordinate the collection, validation, analysis, and submission of data required by external agencies and organizations. Examples include IPEDS reporting, the Common Data Set (CDS), accreditation reporting, U.S. News & World Report data submissions, and other federal and state surveys. Through this work, we help ensure the University’s official data are consistent, accurate, and aligned with reporting standards.

We transform institutional data into meaningful insights that support planning, evaluation, and informed decision-making. We analyze trends and patterns across enrollment, admissions, retention, graduation, student outcomes, faculty, and other areas of institutional performance. Examples include enrollment and retention analyses, academic program and student success analysis, graduating class profiles, and customized reports prepared for University leadership and academic units. Our analyses provide leaders and stakeholders with the information they need to understand institutional trends and support strategic priorities.

We promote responsible, consistent, and ethical use of institutional data while safeguarding the integrity of University information. We support data quality by establishing consistent definitions, validating data, identifying discrepancies, and promoting appropriate standards for the collection and use of institutional information. Examples include maintaining consistent definitions for enrollment and retention metrics, validating data across institutional systems, supporting data request processes, and protecting confidential student and employee information. These practices help ensure that institutional data can be trusted and used appropriately for reporting, analysis, and decision-making.

We analyze student outcomes to provide insight into student progression, persistence, and academic achievement. We examine trends across enrollment, retention, graduation, degree completion, and other measures of student success to help the University understand how students progress through their academic journeys. Examples include retention and graduation rate analyses, degree completion trends, cohort tracking, and analyses of student outcomes by academic program, school or college, and student population. These analyses provide evidence to support initiatives focused on student success and institutional effectiveness.
