Institutional Effectiveness involves "three A’s: assessment, accreditation, and accountability" (Ronald B. Head, 2011).
Institutional Effectiveness is the process of systematizing continuous improvement while ensuring institutional transparency. The Director of Institutional Effectiveness makes data-driven and equity-minded recommendations to units around the university based on findings and reporting from Institutional Research and Assessment.
IE involves:
- Assessing annual General Education implementation;
- Reporting and consulting on surveys;
- Dashboarding & data visualizations;
- Support with curricular mapping;
- Assessment technology troubleshooting;
- Spotlighting Howard community-led improvement initiatives
