Academic Profile

The Academic Profile is a data package provided by the IRA for use in the preparation of the Office of the Provost Annual Report. It shares with departments of student application, admission, enrollment, retention, and graduation data at the program level as well as at the school level over the academic years.

IRA follows IPEDS terminology for retention and graduation rate calculation. Retention rates measure the percentage of first-time undergraduate or graduate students who return to the same program the following fall, and graduation rates measure the percentage of first-time full-time undergraduate or graduate students who attained a degree in the same program within a specified period of time. This report tracks 4 to 6-year graduation rates for first-time full-time undergraduate students and 2 to 7-year graduation rates for first-time full-time graduate students, depending on the program length. Professional students are included in the graduate student population.
